Privacy Policy

Written for the people who watch videos on this domain.

myvideourl.com is the video-delivery domain of myvideotracker.com (“MyVideoTracker,” “we,” “us”). This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you watch a video here. It is a viewer-focused summary of the MyVideoTracker Privacy Policy, which is the full policy of record and also covers account holders (senders).

What is collected when you watch

The video you received was shared by a MyVideoTracker customer (the “sender”). We collect the following on the sender’s behalf and show it in their dashboard:

  • That you opened the link — a viewing session starts when the page loads, before you press play.
  • Whether and how much you watched — play, pause and seek events, watch time, and completion percentage, recorded while the video plays.
  • Anything you submitted yourself — responses to the sender’s form (such as name, email, or phone) or their end-of-video buttons.
  • Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and approximate (city-level) location inferred from the IP address.
  • How you arrived — the referring URL and any tracking parameters that were part of the link you clicked.

What is never collected

Your camera, microphone, files, contacts, other browser tabs, and browsing history are never accessed. Data collection is limited to the video page itself and stops when you leave it.

Who is responsible for your data

The sender is the data controller for your viewing data — they decided to send you the video and they see the results. MyVideoTracker acts as a data processor on the sender’s behalf. Senders agree, under our Terms, to have a lawful basis for collecting viewer data. If you want to know why you were sent a video or want your data deleted, the fastest path is the sender directly; you can also always email privacy@myvideotracker.com.

Emails you might receive

If the sender enabled them, you may receive an email confirming your form submission, a follow-up after watching, or a reminder. These are sent by us on the sender’s behalf, at most once each, and honor unsubscribe requests.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Data is handled by the service providers that run the platform — Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery) and Bunny.net (video streaming) — under data processing agreements, and disclosed to authorities only when required by law.

How long data is kept

Viewing data is retained for the life of the sender’s account and deleted within 90 days of that account closing. Operational logs are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.

Security

All pages and video streams use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit; the production database and backups are encrypted at rest; video playback uses signed URLs that can’t be hotlinked.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@myvideotracker.com. We verify identity before responding and reply within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, described in the full Privacy Policy; because we don’t sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of.
